If your Lexmark printer has a paper jam, you won’t be able to print anything until you clear the blockage. To clear a paper jam on your Lexmark printer, follow the procedures outlined below.
The error code 241.06 is displayed on the control panel. This error code is generated when the pick arm (ACM) assembly cannot pull paper from Tray 1. In this case, the paper-present sensor detects paper in the tray.
The ‘x’ in 24x.06, for example, represents the number of tray numbers affected; for example, 241.06 for Tray 1 and 242.06 for Tray 2).
Always use genuine Lexmark toner cartridges. Third-party (non-genuine) toner cartridges have been known to leak and/or overfill the imaging unit, causing third-party toner to leak into the printer and contaminate the pick tyres.
Fix Lexmark Printer Paper Jam Problem
This problem may be caused by older pick-up tyres that were grey or tan in colour. Take the tray out of the drawer and look for the pick tyres (A).
- Check to see if they are the newer type of pick-up tyres that are green in colour.
- If the older pick-up tyres are still in place, make sure to replace them with the newer type.
Please contact Lexmark Printer Service to request or purchase replacement pick tyres and refer to KB article HO3941 for detailed replacement instructions.
Methods to Resolve Lexmark Printer Error Code 241.10:
It’s one of the most common Lexmark printer problems. There is nothing to be concerned about because of the numbers. To get to the bottom of the problem, read the blog or contact Lexmark Printer Customer Care Support.
- First and foremost, remove the paper tray 1 from the printer.
- Examine the printer for jammed sheets and try printing again.
- Check whether the sheets are being fed out of the paper tray if the paper jam reappears.
- If no paper is passing through tray 1, remove it once more.
- Next, examine the path where the tray will be placed.
- Look for tanned coloured rubber rollers that have been thoroughly cleaned. Clean it with a dry cloth and try printing again.
- If it still does not pull any paper, the feed rollers may be worn out.
- Remove tray 1 once more, and then remove the rubber tyre from each roller.
- Take care. Avoid damaging the rubber tyre during this time.
- If everything works properly, there is no need to replace any printer parts.
- However, if you have tried everything and the printer still does not feed papers out of the tray, you will require service.
- Remove the paper tray once again if the paper is being fed but being struck somewhere within the printer.
- Look into the space where the paper tray should be and up at the front of that area.
- Remove any small pieces of paper that have been caught around one of the rollers. Work with rollers with caution. Do not further harm it.
Conclusions
Begin by inspecting your printer for basic issues. Make sure the power indicator is turned on and the plugs are not loose. If the printer lid is open, close it. In the event of a paper jam, take the clogged paper outside. If the tray is empty, fill it with sheets of paper. It’s also possible that the ink cartridge has depleted. Insert a fully loaded ink cartridge in this case. If this fails, proceed to the next step or call Lexmark printer expert.
