Brother Printer In Error State

The official HP app for printing and scanning documents, HP Smart, has a bug that causes it to display the message “Scanning is Currently Unavailable.” It’s okay to make this mistake one or two times, but it kept happening every time I scanned a page.

I therefore used my travel supplies to address this problem and discovered three solutions for Windows 10 and 11.

This is my personal method of correcting it, and over 90% of YouTube viewers have found it useful. Hopefully, it will be useful to you as well.

But first, understand some of the causes of the Brother Printer Error State—

  • The error in printers is frequently caused by a BIOS problem, malware, or another viral assault.
  • If the printer driver becomes damaged
  • High-speed internet access is severely lacking, which is to blame.
  • Your printer’s cables and USB ports might not be properly positioned.

Step 1: Disconnect the printer.

Remove the printer’s cable. To disconnect the printer, turn off Bluetooth if it is enabled on the printer.

Step 2: Disconnect printers.

Utilize the Windows search bar to look for devices and printers. You can also select Devices and Printers from the Control Panel.

Need to locate the model of your printer here. You can locate it in a number of places, including on your printer’s label. Please take the printer model out of the scanners and printers once you have it.

Remove it by selecting it with the right-click menu in Windows 10. Click on the printer model in Windows 11. On the upper right, you will notice a delete button.

Step 3 :Finish the HP Smart Job.

The HP Smart Job must then be terminated from the Task Manager. The phase can be challenging because occasionally we discover two HP Smart activities. If (2) appears after HP Smart, double-click the end task button.

Step 4: Reverse the wire.

Reconnecting the wire to your PC is now necessary. On Windows 11, a notification appears in the notification tray after inserting (not sure about Windows 10). The necessary drivers will now be installed by Windows.

To view the new printer, go to Printers and Scanners. Try a different port if your model isn’t there.

Step 5: Launch HP Smart.

The procedure is now nearly complete. Try launching the programme and scanning the file. If you correctly followed the instructions, the software would probably scan the document.

I also discovered a more involved solution to the “Scanning Currently Unavailable” problem, but I advise attempting the earlier approach first. Follow the actions listed below in this order:

  • Disconnect the printer.
  • Disconnect the computer.
  • Deactivate the internet router.
  • Wait a few minutes, then carry out the following actions:
  • Activate the router.
  • Activate the computer.
  • Activate the printer.

Install the HP full-featured tool instead of the software if the problem continues. To get the appropriate version, navigate to the driver’s page and enter the printer model.

Installing the web version is not recommended because it can share the same problem. On the official forum page, you may access the entire conversation.

Uncommon Method

This is a special remedy. I’ve never done this on my own, but these suggestions might be useful to you:

  • Install the whole version of HP Smart: There are two ways to install HP Smart, as was already described. Never install anything from the internet. Install the file that is suitable with your system after downloading it.
  • Windows updates may include some drivers that can assist in resolving this problem.
  • Delete any printers you don’t remember adding by going to Printers and Scanners.
  • Try each of those on its own to see whether the problem is resolved. Additionally, confirm that HP Smart is completely closed, which requires that it not be shown in the Task Manager.
